Next Generation Photovoltaics
Our company was started with idea of developing high efficiency solar cells, and it has remained as one of our top priorities to this day. We're currently developing several types of photovoltaic materials that could harvest x3 as much energy as today's silicon solar cells.
Bioplastics
Many plastics labeled as biodegradable or "bio-based" are not actually as environmentally friendly or even as degradable as companies tell you they are. Many "biodegradable" plastics only break down into smaller components, or require conditions that are not met in landfills or the everyday environment. The bioplastics we're developing are 100% compostable, along with breaking down within a matter of 1-2 months. We've made remarkable progress in this field and expect to have commercial-quality plastics by the end of 2021.
Plastic Biodegradation
EnvioTEC biolab is currently engineering a system turn plastic waste into nutrients for advanced agriculture methods and electrical energy. Our system can turn an average Styrofoam cup into compostable material within about 3 months, a process believed to take upwards of almost one million years.
